Mom of two humans, two dogs and two cats! I got my very first DSLR back in 2009 because of my love for photography and the old point and shoot just wasn't cutting it. I quickly became obsessed and wanted to practice on everyone I knew. I bought the backdrops, the lighting and even taught myself photoshop. A lot of my friends and family were big fans of my work and kept me busy even though I thought I was awful! I kept at it though until I found my style and love for natural lighting. After paying thousands of dollars over the years for my kids school photos and then the big chunk for my sons senior portraits and even paying quite a bit for my own wedding photos (which make me cringe), I realized that the basic images we accept for some of our most precious moments just aren't good enough. There is no personality, no uniqueness and worst of all the harsh lighting and zero editing makes us look worse than we do in real life! I decided to turn my hobby into a legitimate business and my LLC was born. I want to be the photographer that people can say 'Hey, Jes did photos for us and we are obsessed, best of all it was affordable!' My style and editing is not for everyone but I do try my best to offer options for everyone. If you want that painterly, storybook look or just some natural updated portraits, I can handle it!
